In this week's lesson, we talked mainly about rhythm
- Progression, repetition, transition, contrast, radiation, and gradation are all different forms of rhythm.
- Progression
- When every part of the rhythm becomes more or less of something
- Repetition
- When a sequence is repeated
- Tends to create a sense of stability
- Transition
- smooth movement throughout a space
- Contrast
- Object used next to another that is different in color, size, or shape
- Creates movement
- types
- smooth vs rough
- shiny vs dull
- light vs dark
- round vs square
- Radiation
- A rhythm that goes around a circle.
- Gradation
- Hue from lighter to darker
- larger to smaller
- Proportion/ scale
- size of objects and how they fit together
- makes balanced and comfortable.
